“We made this Collabd (part portraits part self-portraits of both during the first part of the pandemia quarantine) This was the first time him on drag and I think the same as me as a mother of a true Artist. The concept was Vesica Piscis (Vejiga del Pez / Fish Bladder). the concept unites us as a family of creative creatures,  creatives Faunos.   This way we were mutating in this sacred figure of the Vesica Piscis ( Rafroelle, Rafael, and me) –

I met Rafael ( Rafroelle) in the classroom, he was the best student and in that way, he became my assistant. my art director and my son, so I introduced him to the nonbinary world, the queer art underground scene in Cartagena, and the mainstream fashion world. Rafroelle personifies the afro culture the resistance and not only the counterculture but the de-Collonialist point of view of the sexuality and gender of the black people in Cartagena de Indias (one of the most heteronormative and patriarchal city in Colombia). Now he is doing drag as a way of surviving, to craete and work and why not raise his son, Tomas his son is part of this triada, is the intersection of the Vesica Piscis. Now he is a father and a drag queen and for sure one of the most next prominent artists in Colombia. I can feel it. “
