The series ‘Love, fuck & pray’, was made in 2018 – 2019 in collaboration with the LGBTQIAP+ center in Tokyo and Osaka (Japan). This work functions as a visual research about queer sexuality and the male body in Tokyo that bounces back on a culture that is known for sexualising mostly the female body.

The portraits dance between masculinity and femininity. They reflect -together with texts of Yukio Mishima- on the rich history of BDSM in Japan and give it a contemporary face. The work functions as a conceptual documentary with in a personal approach, which reflects the artists Queer gaze.
