“The friendly amateur rugby club Les Gaillards, based in Paris, asked me to take photos of their 2020 calendar. Although it is an LGBTQ club, many heterosexual players also train there, as the club has a good reputation for camaraderie. Their budget being imitated, I simply offered to come and ask them all in my room, the Blue Room. This gave rise to a very joyful, alcoholic and totally improvised shoot. Their good humour, their sense of friendship and their relaxation did the rest.”
