.
How did you get into the porn industry?
.
Taylor Reign:  I first got into the porn industry by hanging with one of my friends and of course, drinking. We both discussed wanting to do it and decided to apply. A month later I had a couple offers but was still asking my friends and family what they thought. Everyone pretty much said I should do it, so I did haha.
Gabriel Phoenix: I dated a porn actor; who encouraged me to pursue one of my passions and voyeuristic nature! From there it was literally a matter of applying and I’ve been pretty booked up since!
Jasper Rhodes: I got into porn after being scouted to do a shoot when I was out, a producer approached me and asked if I was interested and I said yes.
Xavier Sibley: I get into porn in January 2014 after I been contacted in December 2013 by a French Studio via a meeting app and after few hours of conversation, I decided to jump on this occasion!

.
What is the most memorable experience this world has shown you?
.
Taylor Reign: I have to say my most memorable experience in this world was attending the GRL convention. Gay Romance Literature Convention. Over 300 authors and fans stood in line for hours to take pictures and sign photos. Then there was a costume party and we all hung out till the sun rose. It was so much fun that I’ll be going again this year.
Gabriel Phoenix: There has been so many; generally I’d say it’s less about a memorable experience and more about the fact that I’ve met the most memorable characters in this world! You won’t find a more diverse, open and accepting group of fuckers anywhere else.
Jasper Rhodes: I wouldn’t say I’ve had a specific memorable moment in the porn world, what I have gained from it however is an amazing group of people who I consider family, people who know how it feels to be a sex worker who I can come to for advice and support, as well as have a great time with, whether partying or just spending time together doing daytime things!
Xavier Sibley: I think each memory from shoots is more or less memorable but after almost 5 years the most memorable experience for me still all this travel around the world, France, Spain, UK, Canada, Italy, and Prague. Each of them was amazing and I met great people who today still good friends. But definitely the more memorable is probably my travel in Canada, filming in a house in the middle of the wood in the mountain, wake up with a raccoon in my bedroom, visiting Montreal and my first experience been filmed by a woman, it was so much easier, to be honest!

Pornceptual is an art project that wants to present pornography from a different perspective. Pornography can be respectful, intimate and artistic. According to your experience in the field, how do you think pornography affects the way we perceive ourselves as sexually active and gendered beings?
.
Taylor Reign: Porn has always acted as a tool to help kids and young adults learn about their sexual interests and self-identity. I didn’t know much about fetish play and learning how kinky I am till I started watching porn. Even now I’m still learning. Recently I have been on a straight porn kick. I mean of course, I’m watching the guy mostly, but I’m learning about my other interests as well.
Gabriel Phoenix: I totally agree that porn is an art form. I think it should be a platform to inspire body confidence and to awaken sexual awareness! Artistically, I think the different ways porn is portrayed can be very beneficial in the normalizing and understanding of different kinds of sex as a natural and beautiful part of life! I think it has also aided in the empowerment of individual identification of non-conforming gender, as well as inspiring body confidence via the multiple genres now celebrated! It really has become a powerful tool, coming far from the negative stereotypes that porn has originally contributed to!
Jasper Rhodes: I personally hate the mainstream pornography that’s being produced, hence I stopped filming for commercial studios and working with independent artists to get the word out and change shit up! As a porn actor you’re instantly categorised and fetishised for your characteristics, me being a redhead twink, others for being jocks daddies etc, guys are going gay for pay to produce porn, it’s a con, I filmed a 3way scene once and I was the only gay person in the room, it’s kind of bazaar how fake porn generally is! Don’t get me wrong this isn’t the same for every studio but I imagine it’s the same in many.
Xavier Sibley: I think porn still a door for everyone to ask their life, a way to let the pressure out but also a way to watch a video of things they will be too afraid to do in real life. The porn is an open door to the fantasy, everybody finds is own desire or pleasure.

The porn industry is changing and developing very fast with new ideas and imaginary. Not only is produced really fast but it’s also consumed fast. What do you think will be the future of pornography and how can we find new ways to experience it?
.
Taylor Reign: The future of porn is going to be exciting. With new technology like AVR and VR, I don’t expect to leave my house much. Sex is becoming less taboo and I expect will be hitting a more mainstream aspect in the near future.
Gabriel Phoenix: I really cannot say; outdated boundaries are being torn down every day thanks to the development of porn and what is socially acceptable in terms of desires and sexual interests! It’s human nature to always crave more and to do things bigger so I think our perception of what is acceptable will continue to evolve. With that being said, it could prove dangerous if certain boundaries are explored too far; so I think it’s vital that we keep a rational yet open mind when it comes to communicating these points! In terms of porn platforms, the obvious next step to pornography will be via VR which is already in its early stages or perhaps eventually, toys progressing to the point of a “download or build our own porn star” scenario!
Jasper Rhodes: I think the future of porn is in the young creative’s, I think porn should be more conceptual, and when I say that I don’t mean the tragic plumber fixing your leaky sink concept I mean something more thought-provoking, I think we should begin making people think more, and porn is such a great platform to do it! I personally think more studios need to portray more than just sleazy sex with idealistic men and start creating more high-quality erotica with realistic people in realistic scenarios. We need to bring people out of these fantasies and make what we have the fantasy.
Xavier Sibley: To be honest I feel like the industry is slowly dying because everyone is doing the same kind of movie, nobody is create something new or original. I think the porn could do so much better but everybody stay on his basic. I think the fetish is not exploited in the porn industry, I would like to see more pup play, more watersport and so many other fetishes who are not exploited at all! This is why I am working with some friends to create in a few years something new that is creative. Ops did I just let a secret information out!?
