A Photo Project by Marc Martin & Arthur Gillet
Fallos is a book made by two french artists: Marc Martin (photographer, pig-film-maker) and Arthur Gillet (model, designer). They both postulate that the many masks of maleness and manliness don’t cover lies, but that they are honest accessories for the manifestation of desire.–
Arthur and Marc play with the values of traditional manliness. They privilege the unseen and the intuitive; pleasure and utopia; slowness and languor. Their favourite perversion is to illuminate the shadows that surround filth; to highlight the splendour of depravity; to glorify decadence.–
Arthur Gillet’s objects are seven erections, one for each day of the week, mirror reflections with Marc Martin’s dirty nonchalant pictures: from illusory manliness to manly illusions. The first “Fallos” exhibition has been shown at Dencker+Schneider Gallery, Berlin, from 26th March to 5th May 2016.
