“Me and My Penis Person“ is a series of self-portraits investigating the power dynamics of Lena´s relationship with their partner and the difficulty of transformation and gender dysphoria in such a context. The work is a manifestation of finding oneself within a non-binary identity through exploring concepts of femininity and allowing fluid identity constructions which expand beyond the constricting logic of the gender binary. It shows the artist´s struggle of becoming non-binary and redefining their relationship with a cis-het man.
