Artist: Em Weird

Em Weird’s series of work titled “I AM” (2017 –   ) explores expectations and assumptions surrounding the nude body and aims to liberate this from the patriarchal male gaze. The series of works serves as a platform to elevate queer beauty.

Em works with bold, colorful, acrylics to achieve this. Their work is inspired by the relationship – or lack of – between identities and nude bodies.
