To make a photograph is to have total control. Everything within the frame is a choice. A conscious decision is made each time I put the camera up to my eye and click the shutter.
To fetishize is to let go of control. Sexualized fetish comes from within. It is visceral, emotional, and sometimes compulsive. Fetish is liberation from the structured norms.
When I pair the two, I discover a beautiful balance that not only empowers me to create but gives me access to a deeper connection with the subject.
