The “Falo project” consists of two stages: first, an intervention on the human skin through drawing on naked male bodies. The illustration process is developed by creating a bond of intimacy with the volunteers so that one can work more easily on surfaces so different from each other. The second step includes photographic and video recording of the drawings on the bodies, in such a way that the models are exposed as surfaces. During the process, the videomaker documents everything in an almost voyeuristic way that does not disrupt the development of the creation. The main goal of this project is to expose male sexuality in a way to demystify the controversial relationship that many may have with it. There is not only one definition of what it is to be a man, in reality, this concept is unique to each one and needs to be respected. The idea is to broaden the psychological view of the subconscious and make the photos and audiovisual records a reflection of what is understood about sexuality and male plurality.
