A Calender Project By Photographer: Victoria Salomonsen

Every year Victoria Salomonsen creates calendars to sum up the year in one word and 12 images.

2019 NADRYV an expression in Russian mentioned in “The Brothers Karamazow” from Dostoyevsky for when you feel deep intimate emotions and they come out as an uncontrollable outburst.

2020 VILDFAREN, an expression in danish to get lost and can also be an expression for escapism.

2021 AMYGDALA a small field in the brain where all blood goes to when we experience anxiety and fear and we can’t think rational anymore.

In the end when it feels right, all calendars will be one combined book and there won’t be published more. A look back onto years passed.
