amor(a), a photographic project by Vitor Barão

Amor in Portuguese means “love”. Amora means “blackberry”. Amor(a) is a photographic project concerning nuances and latencies of couple’s intimacy. The photos are taken in private places in a continuous discovery process between photographer and portrayed, between what is seen and what is shown.

The images are transferred in sunlight to artisanal papers impregnated with blackberry solution, to form ephemeral and tenuous photographs obtained from degradation of the fruit’s pigment.

Vitor Barão, photographer and biologist, is the author of the project. The artist researches common fields between arts and botanic in poetics of time, space, permanence and duration.
