In the four visuals of the “Aladdream” series, Iranian performer Sharok reclaims stereotypes gravitating between clichés, lost between sexual fantasies and different perceptions. The series mocks the representations of the animated movie “Aladdin”, that portrayed a very stereotypical vision of the Middle East. In a similar manner, in the adult film industry – especially French studios – Middle Eastern men are excessively fetishised.
